The Ericksons Established 2003 (And a long long time before that)

My family and I (along with the rest of the Erickson Clan) decided to allow our picture to be taken.. I say *allow* with much distain because I HATE getting my picture taken.. So we all got up early on saturday morning and made our way down to this beautiful park in Montrose, Co! It was soo much fun, all of us, Great Grandma Peggy, Anne and DAle (My parent-in-laws) Julie, Matt and their little girls Madaline and BEthany, Crystal and Nick, with their three boys, collin, wesley and parker. Oliver and Tiffany, and then Us.. Me, Jas, Xander and Eliza.. Here they are.. Drum Roll PLease!!

an artist after all!

If you know me, you know i am not an artist.. I cannot draw, paint, color or anything else.. I have ugly handwriting and even uglier cursive. Give me an hr with a piece of music and i can play it front words and backwards on the Violin, Or sing it with my eyes closed.. But give me a paint brush and at the end of the day.. You might have a halfway decent stick figure.. But today, A miracle happened!! My Mother-in laws and Sister inlaws Julie, Tiffany and Crystal all had a girls lunch since we were all together which rarely happens.. After lunch we went to this really rad place called Fat Cats Pottery, We get to pick a peice of ceramic and paint it! I pictured a 2 qt pitcher. and this was my finished product!! SOO SOO proud of myself!!



Its not Glazed yet, but when it is it is going to be spectacular!!

A little of this.

Its almost 10 pm on a Thursday night.. its so quiet in the house right now, All I hear is the sound of my fingers tapping on the keyboard, Jasons Faint snores while he quietly watches Whale Wars (Behind sleeping eyes) and roxy, my super fat lab snoring by my feet.. Its moments like these that allow me to unwind, think and blog.
I am so grateful for my family and friends, for the love they have for my craziness and the support they give me for my wacky ideas.. Im so blessed.
Its almost fathers day, and my husband doesnt want me to give him anything but a hug and a kiss.. Which works for him, but not for me. I want to suprise him with something but he is keeping our money hostage so i dont pay for anything! UGH! So maybe ill make him a tshirt and let the kids paint all over it.. He probably wont wear it anywhere but home, but its the thought that counts.
I signed up for Demarle at home, which is AMAZING! Im in love with it, and if i can make a lil bit of money while im doing it, all the better! I cant wait to get my kit, and start partying!
Eliza had her ballet recital last night, she was so adorable. Im to lazy to walk into the other room and grab my camera to share pictures as of right now, but i will soon.. promise..
So now, Im going to go snuggle with my sleeping husband and watch a silly romantic comedy and eventually, go to bed.. Good night Blog Land.

This My dear friends....

Is me slacking on my blog!! What else is new you ask?? nothing.. Oh wait.. I got 3.. count them 3 teeth pulled.. 14 days later I had an exploratory laproscopy, I went to the dr to complain about my inability to conceive, So he cut me open and found some Ginormous Ovarian Cysts, and a sever case of endometriosis.
So the Cure for That problem is Pregnancy (Well since we've been trying and not succeeding we knew that was not going to work) Or Menopause.. So My adorable Dr Nichols decided it was a GREAT idea for me to start menopause, which means I get a great big giant 4 inch needle stabbed into my booty once a month for 6 months to allow my uterus to heal.. Okay, So I get this injections you would think after a day or 2 I would be fine.. Well, The literal pain in my ASS goes away after a day or 2 and then here comes the side effects of menopause.. Hot flashes! Cold Sweats! Mood Swings! Weight Gain (Like I needed help with that!!!) So I've had 2 out of 6 injections and the hot flashes are getting worse!! UGH!!!

So that's all for now..
Oh btw, Jason quit his job and starts a new one in the next couple of weeks.. So he is here with me ALLLLLL the time.. and now im counting down the days he returns to work and i return back to normal.. and hopefully i can announce a new bundle of joy soon, wether it be in the form of a baby bundle or a nice new pair of expensive shoes.. That is all

Finally.. New York City!!

So as many of you know, Jason and I got to go to New York city for 5 whole days withouth the kids!! Muhahaha!! It was so nice to get to spend some time with him, and my sister and her hubs Dave as well.. It was such a culture shock and we were stuck in the Worst Rain Storm NYC has seen in 50 yrs!! 3.6 inches in just one afternoon! It was crazy.. WE managed to go through 4 umbrellas in a day because not only were we in the rain we were in hurricane force winds!! It was insane!! We had a ton of fun None-the-less, got to eat some really amazing food! Went to see Phantom of the Opera on Broadway.. It was such an amazing weekend. The City lights were soo amazing, There is this Jay-z song called "Concrete Jungle" and it talks about how the lights just energize you and make you feel like you can do anything.. As Cliche and cheesy as it sounds its sooo true! You take one foot off of the subway and walk up the stairs to West 42nd street and you smack dab in the middle of Times Square.. The lights the Sound of the taxi cab horns the footsteps and the thick NorthEastern Accents are soo amazing! Its such an amazing place! I absolutly loved it! (and of course Jason now wants to move there) Here are some pictures I took with my phone, My Camera will be uploaded soon and those will be posted as well!









Jasons "Color" At the top of the Rockafeller Center there is this room where the ceiling assigns you a color.. That color is portrayed in a light that follows you where you go in the ceiling.. ITs really kinda fun.. I was Pink... Lucky Me!!

That is a real Shruken head! We saw that at the Ripley's Believe it or not in Times Square.. A Smidge freaky!

The Most Beautiful Cathedral I have ever seen. Right in the middle of a Neighborhood on W94th and Broadway.. It was so beautiful.

Just one of the Many charactors we saw on the Subway! Whoever said the Subway was scary was way wrong! It was soo fun! Some Crazy people but it was soo awesome!

The John Lennon Memorial in Central park.. It was in this place called Strawberry fields which is located directly across the street that John Lennon was Killed. Yoko Ohno Donated 1 Million Dollars to the Central Park Conservation Project in his Memory.. Pretty Peaceful place, I Think about the message john lennon Was trying to get across and it all makes sense.. He just wanted peace.. "You may say Im a dreamer, But I'm not the only one"

A few weeks back Jason and I took our kids to the Grizzlies game at the E Center, It was there very first sporting event and they absolutely loved it!!
Here a couple pictures from the night!! We ended up going home after the Second inning (Is that even what you call them?!) hehe, the kids got tired and I got a headache.. But at any rate they had sooo much fun! Yay for cheap Thrills and Arena Food!! MMMM!!
