My Dearest Xander;
I cannot believe you are 6! I cannot believe you are as cute as you are! I cannot believe you have finally out grown your emotional boy age! I cannot believe how smart you are, You can count to over 150, You can read and sound out alot of words! I cannot believe you Are a Kindergartner! I cannot believe you are as tall as you are! And I Absolutely Cannot believe the things you come up with!! Like This Gem of a Conversation we had today!

Xander: "Mom where is my Jedi Game?"
Mom: "Its probably in your leapster bag"
Xander:"Mom you were right! How did you know?"
Mom:"Cause I'm really smart Sometimes"

Sneaky Elves and Christmas Traditions!

As Many of you know, Jason is living in Colorado and I’m here with the kids helping out my parents for a while. He gets to come home (Mostly) every weekend and We try to do as much as we can cram into 2 days before he has to drive back Sunday to return to work on Monday. Since We are spending Christmas in Colorado this year we decided to exchange gifts on Saturday with my parents, My little sister Bina and her husband Dave. Can I just tell you My kids were SPOILED!! Those little guys got so much loot! Xander got a New digital camera and after the Holidays are over I’ll start a new blog for him so we can share his pictures of the world with the world. Eliza got a million barbies! I cannot Believe we have made it to this stage in our lives! Its CRAZY!

After Bina and Dave left Jason and I decided to take the kids to Gardner Village near my parents house. WE let the kids pick out ornaments to remind them of there favorite thing this year. Xander picked out a School Bus, Signifying His first year of School. Eliza Picked a Ballerina, She hasn’t started ballet yet but she loves the thought of ballerinas. And then of Course I found sparkly Stars to add to our newly started ornament collection. Gardner village has this Christmas shop that is open all year long! I love going there! They put up these cute Elf displays during the Christmas Holidays.

After Gardner Village we ran back to my parents house and put on some warm layers, we decided to drive downtown to Temple Square. We love going there they decorate the trees and put up these BEAUTIFUL Nativities. Its so amazing to me the peace we feel when we go on those grounds. Knowing that Jason and I knelt across an alter in that beautiful temple and sealed our family for Time and All eternity. Here are a few pictures from our Holiday weekend!

it feels like forever..

So I got back wednesday night from my little kidless vacation to montrose. Its monday.. And it feels like its been 6 years since ive had a little bit of time alone with my husband.. when in reality its been 5 days.
what else has happened you ask?
I saw new moon twice.. yes twice. The first time Lisa went into labor and i missed a second of it.. The second Jason felt bad that i missed it the first time and took me the next night.. What else? My Sweet adorable little Eliza has said GOOODBYE to diapers.. Yes you read that right! She is potty trained! Even at night, which actually makes me look complacent.. She was ready months ago, but really i was just too LAZY to do it! Xander turned 6! What? My tiny little baby was held 6 years ago. and now he barely kisses me goodnight! im so lucky.. I miss my husband.

New School, New Town, New Experiences...

So Xander just finished his second week at his new school. He is going to bellview! the same school i went to many moons ago! He is loving it.. They have always said that smell is the sense that has the most memory and they are totally right! I walked into Bellview and all of these memories came back.. Walking down the hallway I can remember where they had the 6th grade candy sale on fridays after school. The Table i sat at at lunch and the librarian.. Mrs. Eldridge is his teacher and although he totally misses Mrs. Benson He LOVES Mrs. Eldridge! So today i finally got up the courage to let Xander ride the bus! I walked him to the bus stop and waved him goodbye! What an exciting day for him! Today was early day so i had my dad drop me off at the school and Bus Driver Joe allowed me to ride home with them. WE are at stop number 4! ITs so nice!

Today Eliza took her first art class at the demple dell rec center in Draper, Ut. It was an hour long class where they learn about different artists, different styles of painting and different paints. Today they Learned about Joan Miro(1893-1983). they Learned about Motion Lines and got to look at a few of his paintings. then they were encouraged to make there own motion lines and color them in with oil pastels. It was really fun to watch her listen and paint with her new friends Abbi and Ahbi! It was an all girls class and danielle was there instructor.. here are the pictures!
